April 26 - Make a Wish
Today's prompt was to photograph dandelions. I had sort of anticipated that this would be coming up and since I have a dandelion-free yard (thanks to big bucks spent on a lawn company), I made a quick trip to the local park on Saturday morning. Good thing too, it is rainy and grey today.
This is my first shot. Dandelion in the grass, shot straight down.
Dandelion against impossibly blue sky (no I did NOT color enhance!)
Dandelion against tree trunk. The contrast really does make the flower pop.
Shooting up into the sun - and yes, I nearly went blind getting this shot, even with sunglasses on!

Great shots. I'll have to go on a hunt. No dandelions here or on the street. We don't encourage weeds around here either.
Those are stunning photos! I think the first one is my especial favourite, but I love them all.
I'm so impressed you got this done before the prompt. It rained here today as well, so I'll be off to the park (or my neighbor's yard once he goes to work) to hunt for one tomorrow. I like the contrast between the dandelion and the tree trunk, but they're all good shots.
Great photos! I love dandelions, even though I know they're weeds. I have to say, they're the only "flower" I was allowed to pick to my heart's content. And nothing makes crowns and necklaces better than a bunch of dandelions strung together. I think they have a bad rap, because they were one of the best play-things I had outside as a child! Anyway... LOVE the photos!
Wish I had a dandelion-free garden... Love these shots, really effective :-)
AWESOME pics!
I came across your blog by way of a comment you made on Stacy Julian's What's in your purse blog post. I just wanted to tell you that I've enjoyed looking at the photo's that you post! :)
