Picture Spring

I am taking a class called "Picture Spring" over at Big Picture Scrapbooking. The idea is to see things from a new perspective. For me it is a chance to find new photo opportunities and to learn more about my camera.  Right now I'm playing catch-up, but here is my best from the first five days:

Prompt 1: Beginnings.  I chose to photograph the beginnings of new leaves on our Japanese Maple.

Prompt 2: Morning Ritual. Every morning, while I am getting dressed for the day, I take out a few minutes to read the daily essay in Simple Abundance. It is comforting and starts my day off right!

Prompt 3: 30 steps. Outside my back door, takes me to this tree, just starting to leaf out.

Prompt 4: The Sky is the Limit. Shot this photo early this morning. Will be watching for more opportunities to shoot interesting sky photos.

Prompt 5: Getting Grounded. The prompt was to shoot from ground level. I went out while there was still dew on the ground. I didn't look through the viewfinder - just set my little point and shoot on the driveway and clicked.  I LOVE this perspective!

Now I'll be trying my best to keep up with the photo a day, so you won't have to wade through so many in one blog post!

I think I'm all caught up on your blog now, Cheri :-) (Forgive me for not managing to comment on each individual post though!) It's been great to see what you've been up to while I've been away - taking amazing shots like these, for one thing!! x
