More on the Organizing Front

So my scrap room has gone from messy to cleaned up and back again several times in the last two weeks. I've sorted and purged paper and stickers and I'm putting together new organizing systems. I learned by following through the exercises very closely that I really think and scrap by PROJECT (rather than individual page) and I'm trying now to group things by what project they were meant for. I will NOT be buying more supplies unless they are targeted for a specific project. I'm also now staring at about 8 empty Cropper Hopper Vertical Paper Holders, a stack of dividers, some of the skinnier holders that fit inside, and 3 Cropper Hopper Work Stations that I will no longer need or use in my new space. And I need to find a way to unload them, preferably in exchange for some cash to fund my new space. Any ideas?

I went to JoAnn's last night and ordered the fabric that I will use to make drapes for my new room. On sale at 50% off, it was $248! Ouch! See why I need to turn that other stuff into cash? Here's the fabric:I don't think the scan really did it justice. The colors are an olive green and a very soft blue on a parchment background and those "lines" are actually silver threads that sparkle in the light.

And here's my Inspiration Binder - where all of my page and project ideas will be stored from now on. No more need to hang onto every magazine - yeah! I never refer back to them once they are shelved anyway, so I may as well just tear out the pages that inspire me and toss the rest. It feels so liberating! Not only that, but for this project, I repurposed an old canvas 3 ring binder that was destined for the trash. It was UGLY, but now it is pretty and will serve a purpose rather than taking up more landfill space.

I haven't had time for another Photoshop lesson yet - hoping to get to that today.

I love the fabric. I can't wait to see it in person. Too bad I don't live closer I might be able to take some of those organizers off your hands.
