Liberate Your Art - Blog Hop

Kat's Liberate Your Art Postcard Swap provides a way for artists from around the world to get their art seen by new people and to share it with the world.

What I sent:
I chose this photo because I loved the contrast between the softness of the pink flowers and the rugged texture of the bark  and I was a bit enamored with the bokeh in the background.  I wrote an inspirational quote on the back, but I honestly can't remember what it was! In fact, I couldn't even remember what image I had sent until I watched Kat's video of this year's art!  So many beautiful images there. Go check it out!

What I received:
Aren't they gorgeous? I'm planning a scrapbook page with these.  The ones that I could identify (either from their postcard or their blog/website) came from Canada, New Jersey, and California... and of course Oregon!  I couldn't figure out the other two which kind of made me sad. :(

The hop runs for three days and the links are below! Enjoy!

ETA:  With a little more sleuthing I was able to find the artists of the other two cards - both from California and was able to leave a little love on the sites of every one of the artists from whom I received cards. Sadly, I haven't heard from a single person who got my cards - I quickly scrolled through 57 blogs (everyone who had linked to the hop by the time I'm writing this) and not one of them had one of my cards. I would LOVE to know where they ended up, so if you got one of mine, please leave me a comment and let me know where it landed! Thanks!

This was the first year I participated. I'm having a great time seeing the wide variety of all the cards. I now have a new appreciation for Mail Call! :D The card you sent is lovely.

The flower shot you chose for your card is gorgeous! And you received a beautiful variety of art in return. I thoroughly enjoyed this year's swap.

Your art is stunning. This was a lot of fun, and I didn't realize you had participated!

Oooh I love your card, Cheri, and the ones you received are lovely too. Pity that you didn't know who sent a couple of them. Isn't that the whole idea of this swap? To identify yourself so that your art can be liberated?

Of the five I sent, I only heard from two people who received them.

lovely, every one. It's my first time participating and I'm really hoping to find even one of the cards that I sent as I work my way through the blog hop. I understand how you must feel if a couple of the ones you received are not identifiable as to who sent them. Hopefully the artist will stop by and let you know it was theirs!

This swap was so much fun, but I, too, have no idea where most of my cards ended up... but I love the cards I got and am having fun seeing what everyone got, too.

Looking forward to next year's swap!

What a glorious pink springy card you sent out! I wish I would've gotten one! I know how you feel...I have only found one of my cards on the bloghop, and I sent out 5 different ones. I saw Kat's comment to someone about that, and her answer was comforting. She said that some folks don't feel comfortable interacting with strangers through comments or blogs, but that doesn't take away from the joy they felt at having received your beautiful card! ;)

I love your postcard! I haven't seen it anywhere so far on the blog hop...just gorgeous! I'm looking for mine and none are with you. The postcards you received are fabulous and so unique. I love the art findings its way into the world because of the swap. See you next time!

I wish I had gotten one of your cards at it's beautiful but I didn't. Hope you find some of your receivers. Not everyone has a blog, I guess, nor posts on FB. The ones you received are lovely, too.

I see that someone already gave my words in a comment. :) But it's true... for many people just participating by putting their art out into the world is a huge step. They aren't necessarily ready to connect back. But I'm sure each and every one of your cards went to a wonderful home to someone who enjoyed them very much! Thank you so much for participating this year. Each year is different, so who knows what will happen next year!

These are all wonderful! I am in awe of the talent out there. What a great way to connect with other artists around the world. I am amazed at the diversity in the artful postcards both given and received. I hope you do find out where your cards went. It seems they take on lives ov their own when we release them into the world.

Cheri, I'm glad you received one of my postcards. I was in such a hurry to get them out by the deadline that I thought I forgot to sign them also. Love your postcard, your right...killer bokeh in the background... beautiful!

I think this is the most amazing swap I have ever seen! I am completely awed by the art and the time and care that has gone into making it all such a huge success.

Oh, how fun - you received one of my cards (the one on the bottom right)! I also received the flowers and the swirling stars cards. Love the card you sent out, too.

I didn't see any of mine in the swap either and only heard from 3 of them - disappointing and not what I expected from the swap.
