More LOAD and 31 Things Layouts

LOAD19 - I did this single page paper layout about my love of "Green Eggs and Ham" when I was little. I found the stickers a couple of years ago and have had this story in mind since then!

31 Things - Day 3.  I've decided that the "31 Things" layouts like this that are all about me and my preferences will be added to a "This is ME" album that I started back in 2009 via a BPC class with Lisa Day, but never quite finished (the album happens to be 6x12, so it's perfect!).

LOAD20 - a quick layout about my love of attending scrapbooking retreats!

LOAD21 - 2 page paper layout documenting a visit with Grandma Andrews and Bob.
They've been sorely under-represented in our "People We Love" album so I feel better having rectified that  lack!

31 Things - Day 4.  This one was hard to write and even harder to decide whether to share. In many ways I actually envy those who can accept the religious beliefs they were taught without question or hesitation or doubt. While some religious doctrine would state otherwise, I believe that it is possible to not participate in an organized religion, but still be a good person with a strong spiritual life.  Hope that makes sense and doesn't offend anyone.

I am so impressed with your keeping up with LOAD - and doing paper & digi layouts combined. Of course, I love the reading layouts since that is a passion of mine, too. I need to do some journaling about reading as a child/teenager & some of my favorite books. It looks like the 31 Things class is awesome - enjoyed reading your journaling today. (And, yes, I would LOVE for you to come to our next get-together when we win the retreat in Corsicana - wouldn't that be FUN!!)

Oh, Cheri, not only am I not offended by what you have written, but I could have written the EXACT words myself. Amen, amen, amen, sister. I understand, I agree, and I'm proud of you for having the courage to post this. Well done!

Do you still have the book "Mr. God, this is Anna" somewhere?
And as it happens, your beliefs and mine are totally in sync. I will never belong to any organized religion again, but I have my own special relationship with God, and it works for me.

By the way, if the Corsicana referenced in Melissa's note is the one in Texas, it's not very far from me. You can come to go to the retreat and then spend some time with us.

Your pages are amazing. I really love your responses to the 31 prompts. I especially relate to your My Spiritual Life page. The Buddha quote is great and so true. We must question and wonder, no matter who tells us things. That's how we grow. Thank you for the insight into who you are!

Wonderful pages, and beautiful writing for the Thirty One Things prompts. I have a lot of the writing done, but no photos to accompany them yet.

Hi Cheri..I popped over from Deb's to answer the question you left there, and am now wondering why I haven't followed your blog before now? Your journalling is so poignant and honest- and your LOs are great!
In answer to your question about European laptops...the settings have normally to be changed to play a Region 1 DVD(USA)- Most of the rest of the world are Region 2

Hey Cheri - I want to say your spiritual page is one I can identify with in many ways. Your way of writing is eloquent and I am so happy you shared it. I'm enjoying Ali's class and happy to hear she may be adding another :)

Cheri + LOAD + online classes = happy eyes for Cheryl (aka I LOVE seeing your LOs)! I especially love the Power of Pink and Bling LOs. And after seeing your pages, I'm regretting not having signed up for 31 Things. It looks like this is going to be a really meaningful album. Congratulations on your daughter's graduation! Your girls are beautiful, and I'm glad you had a "nearly perfect day" with them. Have a great weekend!
