Guest Post - Your Help Needed!

Today I'm allowing Sarah to hijack my blog for a really great charity that she is supporting.  Maybe you can help her out.  Here's the deal in her own words:

One of the organizations I'm involved in (Students in Free Enterprise) is trying to win a $5,000 grant for a local nonprofit organization called Ashburn's Animals on a Mission.  Ashburn's is located in central Pennsylvania and is a nonprofit that provides a haven for abandoned and mistreated animals of all kinds (seriously- all kinds! horses, ponies, rabbits, donkeys, goats, sheep, llamas, alpacas, teacup pot belly pigs, an African tortoise, a miniature cow... the list goes on).

They then use those animals in therapeutic programs both on and off the farm to help people in all types of need. They work with camps for children with cancer and other illnesses, special needs programs, and even have a literacy program that helps young children who are struggling to learn how to read. It's an amazing cause, and I've been going down to the farm whenever I can to help out.

The grant that we are trying to obtain is through a website called TrueHero.org, which provides grants for nonprofit organizations (up to $5,000).  They are awarded based on how many votes each project gets, and we've fallen behind some other nonprofits that have really big schools supporting them.  Last year, we placed 4th and won $1,000.  If we are able to win this year, the money will be used to build a new barn (the blueprints are all ready to go!) so that they can continue to take in rescued horses.

All it takes is a minute of your time to go on, enter your email address to vote, and then click the link in the email you'll get to confirm your vote.  We really appreciate any support that we can get!

(They won't spam you! It's just one email, and you have to click the link in the email to confirm your vote, and that's it!)

And the link to the organization's webpage in case anyone's interested: http://ashburnsanimals.com/

Thanks so much for your help!
