One Little Word Blog Hop - September Edition

Hello and Welcome to the One Little Word Blog Hop! If you came here from Jill's blog, welcome! You made it to the right place.  Grab a drink and stay awhile! I love visitors!

If you are a regular reader, you already know the drill! ;) The entire hop goes live at 8:00 a.m. Pacific (11:00 my time) so if you are early, just check back later to catch everyone!

My one little word for 2011 is "happy". I am focusing this year on what it means to be happy, what makes me happy, how mindful I can be about choosing happiness.

I was happy to have a simple page to do this month!
Finally managed to decorate the cover of the album! The butterflies are by Donna Downey for Prima - flocked iron-ons.  But I really feel like it is not finished. I just don't know what else to do! Distressing? Add some black outlines?  A little inking on the edges?  What do you think??? Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!

Your next stop on the hop is Melissa's blog.

And just in case you get lost, here is the entire list:

I love it,Cheri....bright and beautiful....maybe some inking round the edges would just finish it off.

The photo is great! What about a black hand drawn border incorporating your word for your cover? Good for you keeping up with it all!

I love everything. THat album is beautiful with all of those bright butterflies. The only thing that came to mind for your album is maybe some text in a neutral color (black or brown) going in a straight line to balance out the whimsy of the butterflies. Of course the perfect text might be your word! I imagine it being in the top right side of the cover between the green and pink butterflies maybe overlapping the pink one a bit. Or maybe the bottom left in that white space. Hmmm... Though I love how it looks now - so pretty and cheerful!

I meant top left side of your cover!

Another huge fan of the photo! I love the cover, too, especially the bright colors. I'm thinking a title would finish it off. (Always a fan of text.)

lovely photo and great text down the side "happy to just be me". Maybe you could incorporate something like that on your gorgeous album cover.
