i.Scrap - the Happiness Installment

Journaling reads:

i.know that happiness is a choice. One we make every day.

While we often can't control circumstances (the good or bad things happening in our lives) and we certainly can't control other people, we can control our own reactions to the circumstances and people in our lives.

We can choose to dwell in the negative, seeing only the bad - and be miserable. Or we can choose to dwell in the positive. We can find the opportunities for growth and learning in difficult times.  We can choose to seek out the good, find the redeeming qualities, search for the silver lining, and live in the light.

And when we do, we discover there is so much in life to be happy about!

I'm a firm believer in looking for the positive during times of change, it takes way more energy to be negative - at work right now we are implementing something huge that is rocking the staffs world and so many of them ask how I can be positive. My response is it's easier to accept it than to fight it because it's not going away, some will get it and some choose to remain in their negativity. I'm still enjoying your I Scrap class pages!!

Love your pages and thoughts. I am teaching this same basic premise tomorrow in my Bible study on the book of Ruth comparing Ruth & Naomi's actions/attitudes as they return to Bethlehem!

Beautiful photo, layout and journaling! I SO agree though something I seem to struggle with remembering a lot - especially in these times when seems forever since we've had more than a day or two of Sun since October! Gah!

Amen, sister! I wear a bracelet that has this inscription on it: "What I think about I bring about." I'm a big fan of turning your thoughts around and making them good! xo

You have repeated my own words back at me, almost word for word. All the things it took me 8 years in therapy to learn. Wise words, words to really live by. Now if I could only follow my own sage advice......... and now yours. I'm so glad you are in such a positive state of mind and really reaching your happiness potential. Only good can come of this!
