Wisteria
When I looked around, I found lots of contenders for Wisteria. A little deeper than lavendar - it seems to be a color I favored heavily back in the sewing/quilting days.
And I love the bits of Wisteria in this pretty larger-than-life selection of seed beads - used these a lot when I was crazy quilting - ahhh, all that hand embroidery and quilting! Now I doubt I could see to get the needle through the holes!
And here's my "entry" for the week! The candle already made an appearance during sea green week, but it definitely fits for wisteria!
Find lots more wisteria here.

Project 64 {28/64}
Macaroni and Cheese:
an interesting color choice - the total food coloring yellow-orange of boxed macaroni and cheese. It may taste good, but in my opinion it looks sooooo fake! But here's the color in a pretty presentation - the camera strap for my little point and shoot. And I took these photos with said point and shoot while the strap was still attached!

Project 64 {27, 26, 25} Catch Up
Week 27, Sea Green:
My sea glass collection. And the cute little legs on the candle holder in the background.
Week 26 - Red. The patriotic version. The shot itself was difficult as I was shooting right into the sun. But I definitely had fun with post-processing on this one to give it that warm, timeless feel.
Red - the non-patriotic version. This one really gives a truer sense of the crayon color.
Week 25, Goldenrod. Caught on a walk around the block.

Project 64 {23 & 24/64}, Picture Color 6/12, and a Mystery
Last weeks color for Project 64 was "Timberwolf". After looking unsuccessfully all week, I found it today, right under my nose:
Yes, my trackball mouse (that in my opinion looks more like a fish on a hook than a mouse) was a perfect match!
This week's color is Olive Green and I had the perfect thing sitting on my desk:
This lovely mail art from Rinda! With a beautiful card inside made from repurposed ATC cards. Loved the Artspiration - thanks Rinda!
Yesterday's Picture Color prompt "Seeing Spots" had me photographing this plant:
And this Daylily - the first to bloom this year!
Last, but not least, I have a mystery to solve. Today in the mail I received this adorable envelope:
Obviously posted from somewhere in the U.K.
But no return address... Inside, this gorgeous card that doubles as a CD holder:
But no note, no signature. Now the style screams Jacky to me. And I remembered this post with some strikingly similar papers and style... so did I solve the mystery? Is this beauty from you Jacky??

Project 64 {22/64} & Picture Color # 9
The color for last week for Project 64 was "salmon". Today's prompt for Picture Color was "the texture of color". This photo is a two-fer!
Computers may come and go, but my trusty laptop case has been with me since the beginning! Back and forth to week, to crops and through countless airports.

Project 64 {21/64} and Art Journaling
So I'm taking a couple of online Art Journaling classes right now. The primary one being "She Had Three Hearts". So while my computer activities are strictly curtailed (I'm editing photos one at a time on picnik.com - great site but not my normal workflow!!!), I've been busy playing with actual paint and pastels and rubons and stuff...
My Art Journal cover - the original print was from a Jessica Sprague class. It's been altered quite a bit.
My very first art journal page. I love all the bright colors on this one!.
close up of the actual journaling. I was perfectly okay with my hand writing being a bit messy!
this is the two page spread I made in honor of my 50th birthday. And I have to say it was unintentional, but I really ended up rocking the "yellow-orange" color for Project 64 in these pages!
the quote is from Oprah Winfrey on closing out her talk show. But to me it is just as fitting for turning 50!

And for reasons i can't comprehend (or fix) at the moment, blogger will NOT let me put this photo in the proper orientation (landscape) even though it was saved that way!

And I think it is kind of amazing and neat that I've been rocking it as long as Cover Girl!

Project 64 {20/64}
I have this beautiful pottery barn bench (that doubles as a window seat) in my living room. I made the pillow and the cushion cover. And it just so happens....
That they are a perfect choice for "asparagus"!

Project 64 {19/64}
I didn't have to look far to find this week's color. It was right there on my computer screen!
I also found it with my fitness ball and water bottle!

Project 64 {18/64}
"Tumbleweed"
This basket sits right next to my computer and holds books and journals.
I thought the handle, trim, and markings on the basket were a pretty good match for tumbleweed.

Project 64 {17/64}
Red - Violet
I finally got my box of crayons and decided to join in Project 64.
I haven't decided if I'll try to play catch-up on the colors I missed or just play along from here on out. What I have decided is that I'm going to use the color that the crayon scribbles as my standard for finding a match.
And this week, the only thing I found that was a match was this sweater that the hubs bought me for Christmas. Not a color I would ever have chosen myself, but it works.
Of course, taking a photo of the sweater by itself - either on the hanger or folder - just seemed... well... boring. So here's a self- portrait of me in my red-violet sweater!
