I started with this.
Adding Kim Klassen's "Sienna" and "Finale" textures and several hue/adjustment layers, I ended up with this. The goal was to make it look like a painting. I think I get that in the sky, but not sure about the rest of the photo. Not thrilled with the end result, but I did play, and I learned a new way to use the hue/adjustment layer in photoshop, so that's cool!

I like both photos a lot. This one is a perfect choice for textures. Have you done anything about organizing yours? I have a lot from Kim and have a hard time knowing which ones to apply. I've been trying to think of some categories for organizing them, but haven't come up with anything.
I do think you are having way to much fun with those textures! :>)
I think you are right. It does look like a painting right down to the water level. Good Job. Lots of hard work. :)
Wow!! It's beautiful. Nice work!
That's a favourite photo of mine - I loved it when you posted it just after you had taken it and I love it in its new incarnation too
I'd say you definitely got it in the sky and also in the trees. Great job.

It's always hard to get the image translated correctly from what youhave in mind! This is a great photo and looks good in either way. I also find just using the filters can give great effects, especially if you are after a specific painted look.
I like how "dreamy" the second photo turned out. Just lovely.
Super cool, Cheri. As someone who just began to use textures, I'm really looking up to you at this point. I can only hope to understand and be able to apply them as beautifully as you someday!
