Picture Winter - 15

"Cooling It"

Today's prompt asked us to play with post-processing to add that "winter chill" to a photo.  I used the hue adjustment to create the blue effect. Pioneer Woman also has a free action called "cooler" that will accomplish the same thing.

And for anyone counting, yes, I skipped 14.  That prompt wants us to go outside and find beauty that isn't snow, icicles, etc.  And sorry, but I'm getting a cold and it is freezing out, so that prompt is going to have to wait!

This is such a pretty photo, Cheri. I love the way the snow looks like it has little diamonds shining.

Very nice! Definitely cooler. I'll have to figure out how to make water puddles and grey sky and rain look cooler here.

This came out great! It's a technique I've never tried.

Great technique - that snow looks so crunchy under foot.

You've captured the texture of the snow perfectly and I agree with you, number 14 needs to be put on hold until you feel better!

This is very striking! Makes me shiver to look at it, as we have thankfully got rid (temporarily no doubt) of the cold stuff. Great effect ...
