The thing here is - this is the essence of Ocean City early in the morning before anyone else is out and about. And these are some of my very favorite shots from the week. If I were to attempt the same series of shots mid-day or in the evening, it would give you a very different picture of what our shore spot is all about. And if I'm being 100% honest, the seagull shot is early evening in Cape May.
Although I've now posted a layout for each of the six weeks of this class, there is so much more content I never got to. Each week offered three different assignment options and it was just way too much for me to keep up with. Someday I'll have to go back and spend some more time in the classroom - I'm sure there are still many more things for me to learn! I can't really give an honest opinion of the value of this class since I was not fully engaged during the class period. I'm thrilled with my layout series that I created from the class but that was something I devised on my own and not really even a part of the class.

Love the calm tranquility of the photos......so typical of the coast early in the morning....wherever it is.
Those are beautiful photos & really speak to the serenity of that spot.
Two things jump out for me: your lovely wood and linen-look textures, and the engaging mix of near and far perspectives. No wonder you are pleased!
I too loved the different perspectives in the photos and the textures you've surrounded them with.
So often classes contain more inspiration than you can use right now - and I always intend to go back...
They certainly are beautiful pictures. I like that boat very much
Lovely evocative photos and I hope Ashley is responding well to her treatment.
If it's any consolation to you, you did a MUCH better job keeping up with that class than I did. I really did love the weekly handouts, but I had a hard time keeping up with the assignments myself.
Great job, Cheri!
This is a very beautiful layout, Cheri. Your photos give me a feeling for this place. I especially love the shot of the sand, the texture and color of it. Back in July while in BC I took several pictures of sand at a lonely beach - it is quite surprising how different sand can be! I just love that you took a picture like that as well (great minds...)
