My daring intentions for 2013:
- DARE to EAT HEALTHY - months of logging meals, counting calories, pushing myself to walk further, etc. only left me frustrated and depressed and resulted in dismal failure in the move more/eat well arena. I'm approaching 2013 differently. I will not be counting calories or setting exercise goals. My entire focus will be on eating REAL food. In January I'm seeking out paleo/primal friendly recipes and preparing a 30 day meal plan to set myself up for success. In February I'll do a Primal Eating trial - cutting all grains from my diet.
- DARE to BE ME - in all my perfectly imperfect glory.
- DARE to MAKE A DIFFERENCE - I haven't decided exactly what yet, but I'll be looking for opportunities to be a kindness rebel and to participate in service projects this year.
- DARE to SAY YES - to stepping outside of my comfort zone, trying new things, accepting social invitations
- DARE to ASK for what I need - whether it is help with household chores, hugs, or alone time, I want to start asking for what I need rather than resenting others for not reading my mind and supplying it!
- DARE to LET GO - of unwanted obligations, clutter, UFO's that no longer have meaning, the need to sign up for every remotely interesting online class that comes down the pike because I'm afraid I'll miss out on something good or feel left out if "everyone else" is taking it!
- DARE to FINISH what I start - including scrapbooking projects, online classes, craft projects, and household projects
- DARE to CREATE - permission granted to spend time creatively and play - even before all the work is done!
What are you daring greatly in 2013?

Love it! Great word and some great intentions! I hardly know what to dare for with a new baby coming in June. But I did dare to express my desire for at least 15 min in my craft corner every day... :)
I love the intentions you've made to go with your word....in fact most of them really resonate with me as well.
I think the first one is the best way to approach healthy eating ....real,healthy food....that's what I'm trying to do this year.
What a wonderfully inspiring and bold list! It promises many kinds of freedom and new ways of doing things, and I will be following and cheering you on :). Hoping that the paleo/primal will be really helpful for you, and I will be glad to know how it goes. Yeay for daring to be your lovely Self!
Wow - you go for it girl!!!
I can feel the conviction in your word and your list.

I love your choice of "Dare"!
I can't wait to hear how your Dare to Eat Healthy goes. I'm doing MMEW 2.0 too and I've put changing my eating on my list for February. This month - it's just trying to get back in the habit of moving a little each day.
So excited to see how this year goes forward for you Cheri!
Very best of luck with it Cheri! It's such an exciting word
DARE is surely word that will challenge you in 2013. Best of luck.
I love it, Cheri. I think it's the perfect word for you this year, and all of your reasons attached to it are some that I could put to practice too!
I found myself nodding my head in agreement as I read your list, especially the bit about expecting people to be able to read your mind! These seem achievable dares, Cheri and be sure to keep us informed about how you get on with them. I'm off to read up on the idea of primal foods (never heard of this before!)
I'm not officially in the One Little Word, but I am trying to unofficially find a word that represents what I want to live by in 2013. I actually found the work I wanted on a commercial on TV, but I forgot what it was. Should have written it down. Anyway, I can't wait to see what 2013 brings to you, and I will be following along with my own word, when I get one, and see how I can do.
What a great word...and list-I too was nodding my head in agreement , especially about the mind reading!

Great list! Believe it or not, this year I've Dared to return to work (teaching)...part-time, of course, I have to have time to scrap! :>)
What great goals, Cheri! It sounds like daring will make for a happier you. Looking forward to seeing your journey!
Great list of intentions. Look forward to hearing about how your healthy eating goes - real food is something I'm hoping to work on more here too.
