Reasons to Practice Macro Photography

On Saturday, in the midst of Prom preparations, Jay came home with this beautiful bouquet for me for Mother's Day.

I've honestly never seen roses like this before.  They are gorgeous! Eight stems, just in case you were wondering.

On Sunday, Sarah made these for Mother's Day.

Yum! (and yes, it is dark chocolate!)

Oh my, the flowers are gorgeous and the strawberries look divine. I also love the colours you've captured in your shots, especially the last one.

Cheri - Our proms are still a mixture of dresses from the full-on long ones, to short cocktail types, to long sleek evening dresses. Looking forward to seeing your piccies :-)

Looks like you were well treated. You don't stand a chance in hell of losing weight though...your family plays to your sweet tooth.

Remember this, you don't have to be skinny to be healthy. Get some exercise, try to eat healthy most of the time, and enjoy the rest. There are no naturally skinny women in our family! You are enough just as you are!

What lovely treats, yum on the choc strawberries! Lovely shots too; do you have a macro lens or did you use your 50mm? I'm pondering getting a macro lens. Sue

The flowers are beautiful, I've never seen any like that either. Surely that can be the only way to eat strawberries :)

Two of my favourite things - roses & chocolate dipped strawberries. The roses look super and what great pictures you got of everything.

It's hard to decide which looks more yummy...but lucky you, you don't have to make a choice. Plus you got to take some great photos too!
