I don't even know where to begin.
I had the most fabulous weekend!
I'm still trying to catch up to everyday life again (the price you always pay when you go away, right?). The laundry seems to have multiplied exponentially while I was away. Kind of like tribbles.
My girls' weekend destination was beautiful Cape May, New Jersey.
Just being there slowed me down. Brought me peace.
We stayed here: Rhythm of the Sea Inn. Even the name sounds beautiful. It is a 1915 craftsman style home turned Bed and Breakfast.
I'll introduce you to my girls in another post, but here we all are!
I had a few truly lighthearted moments like this one. Totally goofing on the beach.
And today I'm so grateful that we had this weekend. And I'll fill you all in later.
After I'm done catching up with life.
And catching my breath.
Because today word came that made it official. Jay's position (that he has held for ten years) at work is being "eliminated" effective May 31st and he is joining the ranks of the unemployed. We're making adjustments already. And hoping that he can find a new job quickly.
In the meantime... if you could all add your prayers and/or positive thoughts to the Universe that the right job for Jay will come along, I would really appreciate it! Quickly would be nice. A positive work atmosphere would be great. Closer to home would surely be a bonus. But most of all, whatever and wherever it may be, just let it be a position that will make Jay happy and fulfilled. That's what really matters in the end.

So glad you had a wonderful weekend and fingers and toes are crossed for a new job - quick! Many cyber hugs being sent your way, my friend!
Looks like a great weekend Cheri, nice to see you having fun :) I will definitely be sending lots of positive vibes to you and Jay!! Remember where one door closes another will open:)
Such good and bad news in this post Cheri, I am certainly sending my prayers and thoughts Jay's way in finding a fulfilling job post haste!
Your weekend away looks fantastic, I'm looking forward to further details! :-)
I miss you already . . . I'm so sad for y'all to hear about Jay's job. You know I will be praying you. xoxoxox
So glad you had a wonderful weekend, and so sorry to hear about Jay's job. I have a friend whose husband just went through the same thing, and I'll wish for you what happened to them: a new job, a happier situation, all in less than a month's time! Here's hoping---prayers and good thoughts on the way!
So glad you were able to have this weekend, and what a lovely 50th birthday your girls arranged for you. You will have that to look back on when times get tough and its hard to remember when they weren't. I'm not sure the universe listens to me anymore, as I have a lot of unfulfilled wishes floating around out there, but I'll add yo & Jay to the mix. Maybe younger ones get heard first.
Positive thoughts being sent your way. Love that first photo - I must get down low with my camera more often
your weekend sounds amazing! Sorry to hear about Jay's job, but praying for you and sending positive vibes!
Wishing you all the best with that difficult situation and hoping that something comes along very soon.
You look to have had a wonderful, fabulous weekend and the photos look great (and a good reminder to get down low as Helena said). Sending you positive thoughts and willing something to happen quickly for you. As for 'tribbles' lol I thought I vaguely recognised the word, thank you for the link - made me smile.
You are in my prayers. We've been there before. I hope it is quick and ends up being all for the better.
So glad you had this wonderful weekend Cheri. Having just come to the end of over twelves months of unemployment ourselves, I will definitely have y'all in my prayers!
I can really relate to this post, Paul was made redundant about 2 months ago now. Jobs are few and far between but he is really making the most of being home and relaxing and getting lots of jobs around the home done. He's also made quite a few new friends - amazing how many other men of his age who live locally are not working too! Hope something comes along for Jay soon x
Cheri I adore that first photo!! I can't wait to hear about your weekend with the girls - the B&B looked delightful :)
I'm sure Jay will be working in a great job soon so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for good luck! xx
Oh, Cheri, it looks like such a beautiful weekend! I'm so glad you had a fabulous girls' getaway. I'm sorry to hear about Jay's job. You all are in my thoughts and prayers. *hugs*
Hi Cheri ~ I'm so glad you had this time away with your girlfriends. Nothing like some time away with your girls to renew your spirit. I love your photos!
And I'm so sorry to hear about your hubby's job. Prayers are comin' at you as I type... xo
