Pass It On

Just wanting to share some of the wondrous "stuff" I've been discovering lately... via blogs and Internet and the like.

Started Blogging for Scrapbookers yesterday as an alumni.  I got so much out of this course the first go-round.  This time I'm not committed to follow the daily prompts - I'll be blogging whatever moves me, inspires me, or tickles my fancy at the moment.  I also have no commitment to daily blogging - I know my life doesn't really allow for that and I'm being realistic!  But I do hope to create more meaningful posts, to meet some new-to-me bloggers, and possibly to add to my tribe!

Beyond Blogging For Scrapbookers - Was there ever any doubt?  Pretty much no way I can pass on any Shimelle class, but one that promises to be a sequel and expand upon the current curriculum?  I am SO THERE!  BBFS starts April 18th.  There is still time to sign up for either class or both!

Get Those Creative Juices Flowing - a new self-paced class by Amy Tangerine over at BPC.  Amy originally offered this class on her blog at $27.  BPC has it for $17.  Use code "weloveamy" to save another $5 and get this class for just $12!  Since it is self-paced, there is no pressure. I bought it and it is there for me when I need a dose of creativity.  I think of it as saving it for a rainy day. :)

I was sorely tempted by True Scrap which has an absolutely fabulous line-up of teachers.  But when I sat down and really evaluated how many of the classes interested me and my ability to be online at specific times, I ultimately decided to pass on this one.  But it looks great!

Sparkles, a 31 day creativity class - not centered around scrapbooking.  This one appeals to me on levels I just can't really describe.  Jamie Ridler has assembled 31 super-creative people across a spectrum of disciplines to each provide one creative prompt a day. Maybe dancing, drawing, writing, photography... it's all a mystery!  Watch the video (just 3 minutes) - Jamie is so ridiculously cute and has the sweetest laugh - that alone may make you want to sign up! I suspect this may be a bit like Reverb10 which I enjoyed immensely and which, likewise, really had little to do with scrapbooking.

How about some new digi supplies?  Miki Ferkul is guest designing at ScrapbookGraphics this month and I have fallen in love with her work!   Seriously, click on the link and check out her kits. She just posted a new one today that is 20% off.  I purchased these:

And her newest kit.  And if money were no object, I would probably have purchased them all!

Well, that is enough enabling for one day.  I'm off to the gym to work off some of the weight I gained adding all this sweet stuff to my life!

Your blog just gets more & more interesting. I check it out every day, so I don't miss anything. Absolutely love the digi kits you bought, and just wish they had them for real, since I don't do digi. Here's a gift idea: print out all the pieces and make up a "for real" kit! Just sayin' Keep up the great work! You missed your calling, you could have been Erma Bombeck's successor.

Oh Cheri, such an enabler you are! I've seen the posts for most of these classes and have been debating what I really want to take. The next BFS for sure, then we'll see. I'm still trying to finish up my i.scrap album.

I'll definately be doing 'Beyond Blogging' but think I'm not signing up for any more courses at the moment...am still busy with my She Art canvases....and plenty more I want to do with them....but, of course, something may pop up in my inbox....that I just can't resist!!!

What a great list of delicious places to go and things to do! Sparkle is one of my favourite words in the English language and am apprehensive about clicking on your link in case I end up doing another class!

Hi Cheri! Thanks for stopping by my blog today! It's great to see another familiar face in BFS. This is my first class from Shimelle, and I signed up for Beyond Blogging, too.

I really like the kraft look of your background!

I had considered the get yr creative juices flowing class but will concentrate on BFS for now and may take the follow up class. Couldn't quite afford true scrap but it did sound amazing! Thanks for visiting my blog and look forward to seeing you in class xxx

I will also be in Beyond - no doubt about it!

And ... I LOVE your new profile shot - it really jumps out over on the forum!

I also skipped True Scrap. just know I can't handle more than one class at a time. I want to make the most of BFS and the Beyond BFS. I need to look again at Creative Juices. Sounds interesting.Love the digi kits you bought. I seriously need to learn digital scrapping.

I'm on the fence about Beyond Blogging. We'll be on the road for nearly all the class which makes it very difficult to keep up and participate in the forum. On the other hand, all my friends from last year's class are signed up and I know I'll feel left out.

I'm sorely tempted by Sparkles because it can also be done whenever you're ready and incorporates a lot of mediums I don't do much with. I think I'll probably bite the bullet for this one.

What a great list of inspirational courses, and I am not just saying that because I have already signed up for most of them - eeek! I have a class problem, I need class rehab, I am addicted to learning - but I never felt that way in school. Looking forward to more of your enabling posts :)

Wonderful ideas. I agree about Shimelle classes. I love her insiring style. True Scrap is tempting but I didn't sign up for the same reasons you mentioned. I hadn't thought about the Creativity class, I will need to go back and relook at that one.

Hi Cheri, thanks so much for visiting my blog and your kind comments about my LO's. I have really enjoyed reading your post today. So many lovely things to check out (I signed up for Get your creative juices one, it looks great). I agree about True Scrap, but the cost plus the timings made it not feasible for me.

Thanks for the link to Beyond Blogging, I was having trouble finding it on Shimelle's blog for some reason. Great links, every one - so much creativity going on!

I am really enjoying BFS and look forward to BBFS. I still have a couple classes on the go at BPC, and I almost signed up for the Amy Tangerine class, but I am trying to resist... seeing it here doesn't help :) P.S. Thanks for your comments on my blog!

Thanks for stopping by my blog! I was just at a scrapping weekend outside Reading last week - any more signs of spring reaching up that way this week? I'm so tired of cold!
This is an awesome resource - what a great list of classes all in one place...now I want to take them all!

You are definitely an ennabler from the looks of it . . . I signed up for Shimelle's original class, will see how it goes before I look at Beyond. I needed more on my plate, really, that's why I'm here!
