I love wildflowers. Especially Queen Anne's Lace. I've been intending to take photos of the ones I see growing along the road for quite some time now.
Today I decided to go for it. After dropping the girls off at driver's ed class and putting in my time at the gym, I drove myself over to the high school and snapped these photos. It was 9:30 in the morning and already over 90 degrees out, so I didn't linger. I took some other photos that I'll share later.
The question now is, did I capture the beauty of this simple flower?
I've got five different shots here - each with a slightly different angle and treatment. What one do you think best captures the Queen Anne's lace? Why?

Love the photos,Cheri.... particularly the first 3....though my favourite is the first one.It looks so clear against the background...and seems to be almost jumping right off the page.
I like the last one, slightly off center and horizontal crop. :) Tam
I like the first one best, and I honestly couldn't tell you why, but it immediately spoke to me. Love how you managed the background. Gorgeous.
The photos are all great, Cheri :-) I think I'd go for the last one: I like the composition, and I like that the closest parts of the flower are in focus. The sepals and florets stand out so clearly and strongly against the background, yet are still so fragile and pretty - gorgeous! xx
I honestly can't decide which one I like the best..I think they are all really lovely.
I like them all too, but the second last one really grabs my attention :-)
