Oh Yeah, the Green & Blacks was up for consideration. Similar to the chocolate from Barcelona, this one was a straight up solid dark chocolate bar. 70% cacao. No fillers or flavors, just chocolate.
Not bitter, not sweet at all. Just dark chocolate. The melt factor was okay. Not outstanding, but it'll do - better than Barcelona. I'll give it an 8/10. I think I prefer my chocolate a little sweeter. Dove still wins. :)
G&B's white does it for me ~ divine!

ReplyDeleteGood to see this one got 8/10 Cheri! I always find dark chocolate hard to eat a lot in one go; if I really want a sugar binge then I need to go for something sweeter. Cadbury's Dairy Milk usually.

ReplyDeleteI love Dove Dark, but if you gotta have higher than 72% cocoa, like I do according to my trainer, the best dark chocolate is Trader Joe's brand. It has a really good melt factor (and I start it from a frozen state) and not a very bitter aftertaste. If you have a Trader Joes and want to try some of the higher cocoa content chocolate, go for their 72% dark bar... I've tried a lot and it's hands down my favorite!
